Acceptable use.

We built Relayo for the person stuck behind a filter that has decided a bit too much for them. We did not build it for the list below, and we will cut off anyone using it that way.

Do not use Relayo to

• Access, store or share material that is illegal to hold, including child sexual abuse material, which we report without hesitation.
• Attack anything. No scanning, no denial of service, no brute forcing, no exploiting.
• Harass, stalk, threaten or dox anyone.
• Commit fraud, phish, or pass yourself off as somebody else.
• Spam, whether that is comments, forms, sign ups or messages.
• Distribute malware, or use us as a step in a chain that does.
• Scrape at volume, automate against the service, or resell access without talking to us first.
• Get round a block that exists for a genuine safeguarding reason rather than a lazy one.

On blocked sites

Plenty of blocks are arbitrary. A school blanket banning anything with the word health in it, a workplace filter that eats half the internet, a hotel network that decided news is a category. Getting past those is the point of Relayo.

Some blocks are not arbitrary. Age restrictions, court ordered blocks, and safeguarding controls exist for a reason. Using Relayo to get round those breaks these rules, and in most cases you will not get the chance, because we block that material ourselves under the Online Safety Act 2023.

What happens if you break this

We block the traffic, straight away and without warning. Where something illegal is involved we will cooperate with law enforcement to the extent we can, which given how little we keep is usually not much, but do not treat that as a promise of cover.
